I have been involved in Photography as a hobby since about 1963, when I got my first camera. I have been shooting film most of my life, I made the jump to point and shoot digital cameras about 6 years ago, and last year I made the jump to a DSLR (why did I wait so long).

Currently I am using a Nikon D300 with a 16-85mm VR lens and a 70-300 VR lens, an SB-800 and numerous other pieces of expensive Nikon gear that I probably don't need.

I get a kick out of taking college courses, and trying out new things. To get my feet good and wet, I signed up for a Digital Photography class at the local Community college, and next semester I am signed up for the advanced class. I have taken several photography classes back in my film days, and always learned something in them.
